Mei-Chih Hu is a visiting scholar with the Stanford Program on Regions of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SPRIE), Stanford Graduate School of Business since February 2012. She is also Associate Professor at the Institute of Technology Management, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.
Mei-Chih currently is working with Taiwan’s newly established Science and Technology Ministry in assisting the formulation of S&T policy and community platform. Her project is particularly focused on the innovation system of emerging green industries such as LEDs and solar photovoltaic sectors, aiming at seeking from ‘competitive advantages’ to the addition of ‘collaboration advantages’ in the Greater China area.
Mei-Chih holds a PhD in Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Australia. She received her MBA degree from the USA and BA degree from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. Her research interests are innovation system, emerging industries (green energy and wireless city) in Asia, and latecomer strategy. She is also working as a member of advisory board with Journal of Technological Forecasting and Social Change. Her papers have been published in a variety of journals including Research Policy, World Development, Scientometrics, Innovation and Industry, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, and etc.
